As a globally engaged institution, Tulane encourages its students, faculty and staff to pursue opportunities around the world. These international activities may include research, teaching and service. Tulanians undertake x international trips throughout the year, lasting anywhere from one week to the entire year.

This travel page is a resource for Tulane faculty, staff and students who travel abroad on behalf of the university. Within its pages, you can find best practices for planning programs or conducting service, information about established Tulane resources abroad abd protocol for emergency situations.

Prior to conducting Tulane-affiliated travel abroad, it is important that all travelers:

  • Review current travel risks, alerts and warnings to prepare for any potential situations that may arise;
  • Register your travel in ISOS;
  • Use the resources within these page to help you prepare for and manage your international experience.

All travel undertaken on behalf of Tulane should adhere to the guidelines set forth by the university's Travel Management Office.
